To Sleep Perchance to Dream

The prompt; “ To sleep perchance to dream…” from Hamlet.

For this project I referenced posters and playbills from past productions of Hamlet, as well as a book of Soviet era space program graphics and propaganda.

First, I imagined a “dream projection machine”. Images of skulls and crowns were recurring themes from my references, so I used the wires above the monitor to create a crown. Finally, I illustrated a skull to represent the dreams of death transmitting from the brain of our subject.
