Illustrator

In his illustration work, Joshua is inspired by his surroundings and influenced by his love for cartoons and comics. He loves visual puns and gags, especially when they serve as commentary on deeper topics. Joshua’s first published illustration work appears in The Southern Thesaurus: : For When You’re Plumb Out of Things to Say, written by Kelly Kazek and published by It’s a Southern Thing. A follow up titled The Southern Handbook will also feature Joshua’s drawings and should arrive in late 2023.

Video Producer

Joshua’s love for visual storytelling brought him to study film and video production in college. Discovering a love for documentary and non-fiction work, Joshua worked for Alabama Public Television’s production unit on shows like Journey Proud and Project C: Lessons from the Civil Rights Movement. Later, he led a small team of producers at This is Alabama to share positive stories of people, places, and businesses within his home state. Joshua is a Producer who knows how to communicate what’s most important through the power of video.
